Apple hat heute die neue Version 16.2 für iOS und iPadOS veröffentlicht. Neben neuen Funktionen und Fehlerkorrekturen wurden auch diverse Sicherheitslücken geschlossen und die App Freeform verteilt. Mit dem Update 16.2 holt Apple versprochene Funktionen aus der angekündigten Version 16, nach.

App Freeform
Die App Freeform soll die Zusammenarbeit auf Mac, iPad und iPhone vereinfachen. Sie bietet flexible Arbeitsbereiche in denen Dateien, Bilder, Weblinks, Skizzen und Notizzettel hinzugefügt werden können. Das Whiteboard kann mit Freunden und Bekannten zusammen bearbeitet werden und so für z.B. Ideen und Mindmaps gentuzt werden. Die App bietet Unterstützung für Apple Pencil
Airdrop
Zu den Änderungen für Airdrop zählt die Option „Für alle“ die die Freigabe nach zehn Minuten wieder auf „Für Kontakte“ zurück setzt. Dies soll die Sicherheit für Airdrop gegenüber Dritte erhöhen. In China ist dies bereits umgesetzt worden, kommt nun mit dem Update 16.2 auch nach Deutschland.
Kollisionserkennung und Fehlalarme
Neu ist nun auch die Möglichkeit Fehlalarme bei der Kollisionserkennung zu melden. Dies kann z.B. in Situationen wie Achterbahnfahrten passieren. Die Funktion ist generell nur in neueren iPhone Modellen und der Apple Watch aktiviert.
Apple Music
Der Apple Musik Streamingdienst Music erhält das neue Karaoke Feature. Damit können Nutzer bei ihren Lieblingssong mitsingen. Die Songtexte sind synchronisiert und anpassbar. Für den Dienst wird ein kostenpflichtiges Abbo benötigt.
HomeKit
Die App für HomeKit wurde komplett überarbeitet und soll u.a. schnellere Reaktionszeiten bei Ein- und Ausschaltvorgängen ermöglichen.
Always-on-Display
Für Besitzer eines iPhone 14 Pro kommt die Always-on-Display Option, die das Hintergrundbild und oder Benachrichtigungen dauerhaft anzeigen lässt.
weitere Änderungen
Fehler die unter anderem behoben wurden sind in der Kamera App, zudem wurde ein neuer „Einfach“ – Modus in der Bedienhilfe hinzugefügt.
